Arsenal

Arsenal concluded their summer’s business by sending experienced right-back Hector Bellerin on a season-long loan to Real Betis, and young winger Reiss Nelson on a season-loan to Feyenoord.

To replace Bellerin, Arsenal bought Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna for £19.8m, taking their summer transfer window spending to £132m, more than any other Premier League club.

Rafael Benitez will link up with Salomon Rondon again after Everton signed the Colombian striker on a free transfer from Chinese side Dalian Professional. Rondon, 31, played for Benitez when the Spaniard was in charge of Newcastle, and then was signed again by Benitez at Dalian.

Rondon was signed after Everton let striker Moise Kean re-join Juventus on a two-year loan, the deal including an obligation to buy the Italian for £24m in the summer of 2023. Left-back Niels Nkounkou also left Merseyside after joining Standard Liege on a season-long loan.

However, despite pushing for a move away, attacking midfielder James Rodriguez remains an Everton player.

Watford

Only outgoings for Watford on deadline day, the most prominent being Andre Gray moving to QPR on loan, and Nathaniel Chalobah and Domingos Quina both joining Fulham, the former for an undisclosed fee and the latter on a season-long loan.

West Ham United

It was a busy deadline day for West Ham, signing midfielders Nikola Vlasic and Alex Kral from CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow respectively. Vlasic, a Croatian international who featured in all four of his country’s games at EURO 2020, joins on a permanent deal worth £33.5m, while Kral has signed on a season-long loan.

Wolves

It was a disappointing deadline day for Wolves on the incoming front, their only business being the loaning out of promising young midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White to Sheffield United for the 2021/22 campaign. The Englishman extended his current deal with Wolves to 2024 before joining the Blades.
